American Highbush Cranberry
American Highbush Cranberry
American Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum Trilobum) is a beautiful native shrub that produce edible berries for people and wildlife. It is not a true cranberry and is actually a viburnum. Bright white flowers in early summer yield vibrant red berries in the fall that can persist into winter. The berries are very tart and are best made into jellies and syrups. Excellent plant for birds. Our highbush cranberry mother plants are a true native selection brought to us by legendary forager Samuel Thayer who selected them for their excellent productivity. Hardy to at least zone 3.
