Mulberry

Cold hardy to at least -25f. Most likely a hybrid of morus rubra and alba that produces dark fruit with the best flavor.

Mulberries are dioecious, seedlings will be either male or female.

Sow mulberry seeds after danger of frost in spring or summer about a ¼ inch deep. Germination usually occurs in 2-3 weeks. Beware of snails and slugs that will eat the young sprouts.
